Who Am I?

In all of my posts, I have written about quotes or Bible verses. I have not given much background on myself..

I am a senior at TTU. My major is Communications-Public Relations with a concentration in Digital Media and a minor in Speech Communication. Yes, that is a mouthful, but I love it! I chose this major because I love to read and write. Also, I never enjoyed math or science enough to pursue careers involving either subject. I am a grammar nazi. I hate when people misuse the forms of "to", "too", "there", "their", "they're", "your", and "you're". I love to sit and read a good book such as the Divergent series by Veronica Roth, or any book by Karen Kingsbury or James Patterson. (Check them out!) When I go to the beach, I spend hours in a chair on the shoreline. As the water comes up over my feet, I dig my toes in the sand and get lost in the main character of the book. I love books wrote in first person because I can become that character.

"When I read books, it is an escape. Escape from people, work, and reality. When you want to get away, just grab a book."

I also keep a journal. It isn't a "oh, here's what I ate today.." or even a "he's just so cute, I wonder if he likes me.." sort of journal. This journal has my church notes, my devotionals, quotes, life verses, and my true feelings about what I want out of life. When I am mad, writing it all out is the best escape.

"When you write for yourself, that's true passion."

When I need encouragement, I go back to it and find some of the verses I have written down. My favorite to reread in times of trouble or heartache is:

However, as it is written:
“What no eye has seen,
    what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”
the things God has prepared for those who love him.
1 Corithians 2:9

Now, I think you could guess that I might be creative.. Well, I am. I love Pinterest. Absolutely addicted to it. I enjoy making crafts and I wish I had the money to make more of them. I also scrapbook. I have for about 7 years now. I am really excited about the one I am currently working on! I will share a few pages with you once I have finished. :)

So, there's a little bit of information on who I am. It also sort of explains why I chose Communications as my major. One day I'll give you the long, detailed story of how I got to this major. I wasn't always a Comm major... Another day, loves.

Trusting God forever and for always. ❤
