Pride

You always hear about how being prideful is one of the 7 deadly sins. One day I might go in to more detail about those, but today I want to share with you a little about my own pride.

No, not pride in myself.

Pride in my incredible boyfriend.

You see I've known him since I was two years old. We were absolutely precious when we met at two. He's my best friend and the love of my life.
Whenever I need someone, I go to him. He wipes my tears, makes me laugh, and allows me to be myself. He spoils me like no other.

Love is patient...
I am a stubborn person. I will not deny that. He takes time to calmly talk to me about things that are going on when I seem unreasonable.

Love is kind..
Kind. Compassionate. Loving. Considerate. Those are some aspects that make him perfect.

Love does not envy..
He doesn't get jealous. I don't get jealous. We tell each other everything and would never do anything to cause trust to be broken.
I had a little boy (I say little because he is 17 and I'm 20) that became sort of obsessed with me. I asked him to leave me alone and when he didn't, my boyfriend kindly took care of it.

Love does not boast..
Excessive talk of oneself is the definition of boast.
He asks me about my day and I ask him of his. We share in our joys and accomplishments, but I don't boast and say things like "I made more money than you this week." No. We talk completely openly. He tells me he's proud of me and I tell him how proud I am of him.

Love never fails..
No matter what it's put through. It won't stop. You love the person through the good and the bad. We've definitely had some bad in our relationship but the good outweighs it. Over the past two years, we both went through things that completely changed us. We still love each other more than anything in the end.

I love him with everything in me.

Blessed❤

I feel extremely blessed in my life.

There are people you meet in your life that teach you lessons and there are people in your life that make you thankful every day.

Saturday I went to the mall with my bestfriend, my boyfriend, the love of my life, Dakota. We walked around, had lunch, and shopped. We then went in to Build A Bear. He told me I could pick a bear out and we could make it together!

He named the bear Chandler in honor of our favorite tv show FRIENDS. The spongebob shirt is because we both enjoy spongebob and we watch it together.

I was so excited to cuddle Chandler. He say in my lap as we drove home from the mall. Dakota held my hand as he drove my car.

I have known this boy since we were two years old. We started dating over two years ago. It's been a crazy two years, but I would not trade it for anything.

I am so blessed in this life I live. I thank God for allowing me to meet the boy who would one day become everything to me at just two years old. We're both 20 now and figuring out what we want out of life, but we know we want it with each other.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not ride, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (NIV)
